20,000 fans showed up at Dexter Park in Queens to watch the '28 Yankees barnstorm against the semi-pro Brooklyn Bushwicks and somehow the Bushwicks won! It was Columbus Day, as noted in the period handwritten notations on the west and east panels of this Spalding ball. Ruth's sweet-spot signature is light yet legible. This is an affordable Ruth ball with some extra history with it as well.
