The significance of anything signed by Christy Mathewson cannot be overstated. He is one of the most rare baseball signatures that you can have. He is so sought after because he was one of the first 5 inducted in to the Baseeball Hall of Fame and he passed away early at the age of 45 in 1925 before autographs became more popular. This is a really nice piece as it is his field pass for when he was president of the Braves after his pitching career was over. Having something signed by him relating back to him in any way attached to his baseball career is quite exquisite. The pass has been placed on the back of a Hall of Fame plaque postcard of his. I feel honored and blessed to add another Matheson signed piece to the repertoire.
