Roberto Clemente was one of the greatest baseball players that has ever played the game of baseball and I touched on this with my other Clemente piece but even as great of a ball player he was he was a much better human. I don't think a better compliment can be given to someone who has all of the accolades you could ever want in baseball. This piece happens to be a sad reminder but also a joy to celebrate his greatness.
This is Roberto Clemente's 1972 All Star Game ring. This was given to Clemente for being elected to the All Star Game for his 15th time. This happened to be the final ring that he earned due to his untimely passing later that same year. The inside of the ring is dated 7-25-72 and has his initials engraved as well R. C. The ring is 14k gold stamped and has a Claret Red Linde Star ruby set in the center of the ring. The stone is beautiful and the 'white star' moves as it reflects different light. The ring itself is gorgeous and what it represents is even greater than that.
